BVGEC held its fifth AGM on April 21st, 2026.
Thank you to everyone who attended the BVGEC AGM, whether in person at the Canmore Civic Centre or virtually. It was an inspiring evening of reflection on our progress and excitement for what lies ahead.
We shared highlights from the past year, including progress on our upcoming investment raise, expanding partnerships, and continued growth in our membership. We also extend our sincere thanks to our guest speaker, Martin Boucher, President of Community Energy Cooperative Canada (CECC), for his insights into BVGEC’s important relationship with CECC and the opportunities this collaboration will create for Alberta’s community energy landscape.

We are also pleased to welcome two new board members officially. Edmund Ong was ratified at the AGM, and Luke Killam will attend his first official board meeting in May. Thank you to our returning board members for their continued leadership, and a warm welcome to our newest members.
