Who We Are

Community energy, built locally

Bow Valley Green Energy Cooperative is a member-owned organization working to change how energy is developed and owned in Alberta.

We bring together individuals, businesses, and communities to create renewable energy projects that are locally driven, collectively funded, and built for long-term impact.

As a cooperative, our focus is simple: keep value in the community, expand access to renewable energy, and create opportunities for people to participate in meaningful ways.

Our Projects

We develop community-owned renewable energy projects that generate clean power, create local impact, and demonstrate what community energy can look like in practice.

This is a cooperative. You belong here.

Bow Valley Green Energy Cooperative is built on membership.

This isn’t just a program you support from the outside. It’s a community you’re part of. As a member, you help shape how projects are developed, how decisions are made, and how value is shared.

It’s a simple way to move from observer to participant, and often the starting point for deeper involvement across investment, projects, and initiatives.

Many of our members go on to invest, volunteer, or host projects as their involvement grows.
