How BVGEC’s investment model works

1

Members invest

When an offering is available, eligible BVGEC members purchase investment shares to help finance BVGEC’s renewable energy portfolio.

2

BVGEC develops projects

BVGEC works with host sites to finance, install, own and manage renewable energy systems.

3

Host sites purchase the energy

The renewable energy generated is sold to the host site under a long-term agreement.

4

Revenue supports the portfolio

Project revenue covers financing, operations and maintenance. Any investor returns and allocations to community initiatives are made according to the offering terms and BVGEC’s financial performance.

A portfolio-based investment

Your investment supports BVGEC’s wider portfolio

When you purchase investment shares in BVGEC, you aren’t investing in only one solar installation. You become an investor in the cooperative and its portfolio of renewable energy projects.

A growing portfolio can provide income from multiple projects, host sites and locations. While diversification can help distribute project-specific risk, all investments still involve risk and returns are not guaranteed.
