Renewable Energy Project Management

Move your renewable energy project forward

Renewable energy projects involve funding, feasibility, technical decisions, contractor coordination and long-term maintenance. BVGEC helps organizations manage those moving parts and bring viable projects from concept to operation.

We can manage the complete process or provide support at specific stages, depending on your project, internal capacity and existing partnerships.

What we can do

Feasibility and early planning

Evaluate the proposed site, energy needs, project goals and early technical considerations to determine whether the project is worth pursuing.

Project scoping

Define the project requirements, responsibilities, anticipated timeline, priorities and next steps.

Technical guidance

Help your organization understand system options, technical recommendations and the decisions required throughout the project.

Partnership coordination

Bring host organizations, funders, technical professionals and other project partners together around a clear plan.

Contractor coordination

Support contractor selection, communication, scheduling and information-sharing throughout design and installation.

Project oversight

Keep the project organized and moving through design, procurement, installation and commissioning.

Monitoring and maintenance

Coordinate ongoing system monitoring and maintenance to support reliable long-term performance.

Who we work with

BVGEC’s project-management services may be a fit for:

  • Non-profit and community organizations

  • Municipalities and public institutions

  • Businesses and commercial property owners

  • Organizations with funding for a renewable energy project

  • Funders seeking an experienced project-delivery partner

  • Groups coordinating projects involving multiple partners

You don’t need to have every detail worked out before getting in touch. BVGEC can meet you where the project currently stands and help determine what support is needed.

Project Management in Action

Case Study: Rundle United Church

Rundle United Church wanted to install solar at its Canmore property. Graymont provided the project funding through its Carbon Reduction Fund, while BVGEC brought the technical expertise and project management needed to move the project forward.

BVGEC is providing technical guidance, contractor coordination, project oversight, and long-term monitoring and maintenance. The partnership offers a repeatable model for organizations that have a site, funding or a project idea but need experienced support to bring it to life.

Why this model matters

Not every organization needs BVGEC to own or finance its renewable energy system. Some already have funding, a host site or interested partners but lack the internal expertise to manage the process.

BVGEC’s project-management service gives those organizations another way to move forward. Our role can be adapted to the project while keeping technical coordination, implementation and long-term system performance in view.

If your organization is planning a renewable energy project, has identified a potential site or needs an experienced partner to manage the process, tell us about it below.

You don’t need to have a completed design, confirmed contractor or finalized project plan before reaching out. BVGEC will review the information and determine whether its services may be a fit.

Submitting an inquiry does not create an agreement or guarantee that BVGEC will take on the project.
