Help grow community-owned renewable energy in the Bow Valley!
Rocky Mountain Community Energy (RMCE) is looking for a passionate and community-minded Marketing Specialist to help raise awareness of local renewable electricity options and strengthen connections with residents, organizations, and businesses across the Bow Valley.
What You’ll Do
Promote RMCE through community outreach with local organizations and at events.
Support the growth of the RMCE Solar Club by connecting with rooftop solar owners.
Maintain RMCE’s social media presence (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok).
Deliver simple educational presentations on electricity choices, pricing, and the benefits of community energy.
Help engage RMCE customers, encourage retention, and share opportunities to become members or investors in Bow Valley Green Energy Cooperative (BVGEC).
Coordinate with UtilityNet’s promotional team to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
What You Bring
An engaging, outgoing personality and a passion for community action.
Strong communication and social media skills.
Interest in learning about Alberta’s electricity market and energy pricing.
Basic Excel skills and the ability to handle customer information confidentially.
Enthusiasm for sharing what makes RMCE a unique, community-focused alternative to traditional utility providers.
